October 19th, 2009 - The fall is always a busy time for the MPI team, especially as we approach Halloween. This year has been the busiest yet with the highly successful Haunted Tours at Historic Fort Wayne as well as our typically heavy case load and multiple public presentations and media appearances throughout southeast Michigan and beyond. The members of the MPI team would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has attended the tours at Historic Fort Wayne and helped support the renovation efforts of the volunteers who strive to keep this historic jewel in the heart of Detroit viable for future generations to enjoy. We would also like to thank everyone who has attended one of our many public presentations this year and offered their assistance and support to the team. For that we thank you all!
The future holds even more in store for the team. More investigations, more case reports, more gallery pictures and more of everything will be available on this site in the near future. For now, check our Reports page for 2009 and see a preview of files that will soon be made available for public viewing. October 12th, 2009 - Fall is definitely upon us, which also means it is the busiest time of year for MPI. As Halloween draws near, and the spooky movies and shows are on our TV's, people get interested in the paranormal, which we think is GREAT! This morning, The Haunted Tours at Historic Fort Wayne, which are run by our group, were highlighted in the Detroit Free Press in an exciting article written by Jeff Seidel, with pictures and video taken by Free Press photographer Kim Mitchell. We would like to take this opportunity to say hello to anyone who was led to our site by this awesome article. If you have any questions or comments for MPI, please feel free to contact us using any of the options on our Contact page. We would love to hear from you! If you haven't seen the article yet, check it out here. There are also more pictures of Historic Fort Wayne on the tour website, www.hauntedfortwaynedetroit.com. Unfortunately, all of the 2009 Haunted Tours have been sold out for quite some time, and we are unable to accommodate any additional guests this year. We would like to thank everyone who has participated, it has been our honor to host these events, and we have had a blast doing so! Stay tuned for the announcement of 2010 dates early next year.
MPI would also like to announce some upcoming events:
On Friday, October 23, MPI will be giving a presentation at Central Michigan University, hosted by Delta Phi Epsilon. Tickets are $2 at the door of the UC auditorium, with proceeds helping to support the Delta Phi Epsilon Education Foundation. The event starts at 6:00 pm but get there early as space is limited!
Then, on Tuesday, October 27, MPI will be returning to Olivet College for another exciting presentation. We will feature evidence caught during our investigations of the Olivet campus, as well as other sites in Michigan. This free event is open to Olivet College students and faculty. We hope to see you there!
Lastly, we would like to congratulate MPI member Dee Pabst for completing the Breast Cancer 3-Day in Washington DC this past weekend. Great job! Dee's group "The Breast Cancer 3-Day BFF's" will start fund raising for their 2010 3-Day when they return from DC, so check out their Facebook page and help to support a great cause!
